Medical Services
Patricia Ting Tan, MD
Medical Director
Patricia Ting Tan, MD, Medical Director specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Before joining UCP Suffolk, Dr. Tan served as an Attending Physiatrist at Mercy Medical Center Inpatient and Outpatient Units, and at United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau. She was previously Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and was the Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children. She has been an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University Center, and is a pioneer in Pediatric Rehabilitation at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York. Dr. Tan is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Fookien).
Aaron Avni, MD
Ophthalmology
Dr. Avni holds a degree in Medicine from University of South Florida and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse University. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Opthalmology. Dr. Avni is in private practice with Long Island Eye Surgical Care and with Brookhaven Eye Surgery and is on the staff at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson Station.
Joseph Farrell, MD
Orthopedics
Dr. Joseph Farrell provides Orthopedic services at UCP Suffolk since its founding nearly 40 years ago. He specializes in the field of Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Management and is board certified in Orthopedics. Dr. Farrell earned his degree at SUNY Downstate Medical College and completed his residency training at Long Island College Hospital and Winthrop University Hospital and Nassau County Medical Center.
Dawn Figlo, DPM
Podiatry
Dr. Figlo holds a degree in Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency training there. She is board certified in Podiatric Surgery. She previously served as an attending Podiatric Surgeon at St. Elizabeth Ann’s Health Care and Rehabilitation Center and as an attending Podiatric Physician at Richmond University Hospital on Staten Island. She is currently in private practice and has exceptional knowledge and experience in the treatment of the disabled population.
Gail Fraser-Farmer, MD
Primary/Family Medicine
Dr. Farmer received her degree from the State University Health Center at Brooklyn. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. She has previously served in attending positions at the Lyndon B. Johnson Health Complex and the Menorah Home and Hospital of the Aged and Infirm, both in Brooklyn, as well as an attending for OptiHealth in Smithtown, NY. Dr. Farmer is in private practice in Coram.
Eileen Ingenito, NP
Adult Gynecological Practitioner
Eileen Ingenito, NP provides Gynecological services to women at the UCP Suffolk Health Center at its Hauppauge, Pt. Jefferson and Central Islip locations. Ms. Ingenito holds a Master of Science degree as an Adult Health Practitioner from SUNY Stony Brook.
Scott McWilliams, MD
Neurology
Dr. Scott McWilliams is a graduate of Stony Brook Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine and Neurology residencies at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He is board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. His private practice is located in Port Jefferson and he maintains privileges at Mather and St. Charles Hospital. His work experience includes working as an attending Neurologist in the specialty clinics at St. Charles Hospital.
Daniel Orozco, DPM
Podiatry
Dr. Daniel Orozco specializes in Podiatry. Dr. Orozco is currently an attending physician at North Shore University in Forest Hills. He also serves as a consultant for St. John’s Hospital in Queens. He holds a medical degree in Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Augustine Romano, MD

She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Hospital after graduating from Northwestern University School of Medicine. She completed her Dermatology training at SUNY Downstate in 1987.

Psychology
Dr. Helen Hoffman currently serves as the Mental Health Coordinator at UCP Suffolk Health Center. She earned her Doctorate from New York University and has been providing services to children and adults at UCP Suffolk for nearly 40 years. Dr. Hoffman specializes in Neuropsychiastric evaluations and testing.

Dr. Michael A. Mennella is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. Dr. Alan Steinberg is a board certified Psychiatrist who earned his degree at Johns Hopkins University and completed his residency training at John Hopkins Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Steinberg provides Psychiatric services with the UCP Health Center in Pt. Jefferson.
